LAKE HAVASU CITY – The gorgeous weather last weekend brought about a free outdoor workout class hosted by Charged Up Nutrition Bar. Many residents of Havasu attended the early morning workout.   The nutrition bar provided a live DJ to get the participants moving! CHLORIDE – Chloride turns green Saturday, March 16 to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. This annual event honors the Irish miners who worked the dozens of mines around this 1860’s historic silver mining townsite. This free event includes gunfights, a crazy parade, gold panning, horseshoe tournament, vendors, bake sale, raffle, live music, antique cars, and so much more. The family friendly fun starts at 9 a.m. with the ever-popular Chloride Bake Sale at the Thirsty Miner (Elkhart and 2nd Street). Stop by early, the delicious goodies go fast. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Many warm tributes were dedicated to some of the women of Lake Havasu last week at the second annual Heroes in Heels Ceremony.  The Heroes in Heels dinner party took place on Wednesday, February 7 at Shugrues Bridgeview Room. Hav-A-Sis was the nonprofit group behind the acknowledgment celebration. The club was formed amid COVID by Hav-A-Sis Director Connie Alexander.  Three years ago, the media’s urges for social distancing could not stop Alexander from creating a momentum of sisterhood in the Lake Havasu community. At first their meetings were small, and the ladies would socialize at house gatherings and local happy…
