LAKE HAVASU CITY – Aspiring authors need to unite, and the Lake Havasu City Writers Group has created a unique space to make this happen. In the early 1990s, the Lake Havasu City Writers Group came to be when a mystery Havasu resident posted an ad in the local newspaper wanting to form a writing group. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Bratwursts are delicious, but it’s not a complete treat unless paired with an ice-cold beer! It’s that time of year again, for Sunrise Rotary’s largest fundraiser of the season, Brews and Brats Festival.   Sunrise Rotary’s mission is to be of service to others in need and promote unity and philanthropy through business fellowships and leaders of the community. This year, the celebration welcomes top brewers of craft beers from all over the tri-state area.   Come out and enjoy samples of various beers and of course, brats. Millions watched the Super Bowl recently. It was a good game that was hard fought and ended in overtime in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs. I am certain, too, it did not hurt ratings that one of the most popular singers in America, Taylor Swift, attended and cheered for her Chief’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce. In addition to the game on the field, another sort of game was being played, as well.
