The Journey of Hope South Team is a group of 20 cyclist and six crew members biking across the country in support of those with disabilities and they will be arriving in Kingman on Friday, June 21. The Journey of Hope team will be arriving after a 60-mile bike ride from Lake Havasu City, part of a 4,370-mile cycling event across the country. Route 66 Cruizers will host their annual car show at Locomotive Park on Sunday, June 23 from 2 to 6 p.m. Registration begins at 1:30 pm. Vehicle entry is $15. There will be raffles, a 50/50 drawing, trophies, awards, and music. Funds raised help to support the Cruisers’ annual Halloween Bash, which is free to the public. A Kingman woman was cited Monday after the vehicle she was driving struck two boys crossing an intersection on scooters. Deputy Police Chief Rusty Cooper said the accident at the intersection of E. Andy Devine Avenue and Harrison Street was reported at 1:45 p.m. Cooper said the driver was stopped at that intersection and that the boys were struck when she pulled out in front of them.
