None injured in mobile home fire

At approximately 4:20 p.m. the afternoon of April 24, several units were dispatched to the Riverview RV Resort located at 2000 Ramar Rd. for the report of a mobile home fire. Arriving units were met by the homeowners who had evacuated the home. Ladder 721s crew reported light smoke coming from the back of the mobile. Pulling an attack line firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the fire quickly. Kingman City Council testing new session format

City Manager Ron Foggin has unveiled a new format for the work sessions and regular business meetings that the Kingman City Council conducts every other Tuesday on most occasions. Gray not competent to stand trial; to be committed

Mohave County will initiate commitment proceedings for a Bullhead City woman who was arrested last fall when she allegedly torched her daughter’s duplex. Two pet dogs perished in the fire in the 300 block of Anna Circle. Ofelia Gray, 72, had been charged with arson of an occupied structure and two counts of animal cruelty. Prosecutor Jeff Haws and defense attorney Adam Crizan informed the Court that two experts who conducted mental health examinations both determined that Gray is not competent to stand trial. “We believe that Ms. Gray is a danger to herself and to others,” Haws told Superior…
