Christmas in July Show & Shine set

KINGMAN – Arizona Claus Cause will host their annual Christmas in July Car Show & Shine on Friday, July 19 in the Walmart parking lot. The event will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with live music by The Terry Wayne Project. The event is open to the public and free to spectators. Car entry fee is $10 per vehicle. Trophies and dash plaques will be awarded. A barbecue raffle sponsored by Walmart will be offered. For information call Mrs. Claus at 928-263-7167.

Dance lessons offered

Fatality at the Colorado River

A July 4 fatality is reported on the Colorado River. Bullhead City police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said a man was fatally injured and his granddaughter was hurt when the personal watercraft he was operating crashed into some rocks on the Nevada side of the Colorado River across from Davis Camp. Authorities responding to the 1:30 p.m. accident transported both victims to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. Claro Ponciano, 56, San Fernando Valley, California, died at the hospital while his 16 year-old granddaughter was released following treatment.
