Most residents believe the Mohave County Sheriff’s K-9 Program is funded by the state and the county, and that can no further from the truth. The K-9 Program receives no funding from the State of Arizona, the county, or the Sheriff’s Office. It operates solely on donations from businesses and concerned citizens. Her friends and family members spoke of the magnificence of Jessica Orozco as the man who killed her was sentenced to the Arizona Department of Corrections Thursday. They told the Court that the 31-year-old Kingman woman excelled at everything and that her loss leaves a void in all their lives.
