Republican Andy Biggs campaigned in Kingman Saturday

KINGMAN, Ariz. – Several Republican and local politicians came out in support of the Andy Biggs for Governor rally held at Mohave College on Beale Street Saturday. Biggs, endorsed by Trump, entered the room to a thunderous applause and standing ovation.

Also attending was Senator Sine Kerr, Andy Biggs choice for Lt. Governor; Arizona House of Representatives for District 30, John Gillette and Leo Biasiucci; Mohave County District 2 Supervisor Rich Lettman; Kingman City Councilman Smiley Ward; and Conservative Republican Club of Kingman President Dr. Larry Schiff, among others.

Biggs elaborated on why he is running. “I felt the state was going in the wrong direction with the current governor,” Biggs said and added what he would like to do if elected. “(I would) help restore Arizona, preserve Arizona schools and restruct education and public safety.”

“Arizona needs someone who understands water law and can sit down to advocate Arizona’s position,” Biggs said. “Hobbs is unable to do that. Very dangerous.”

Biggs told The Standard that Senator Sine Kerr, his Lt. Governor, can help Kingman fight to keep the rights to the water in the largest aquifer in the state that the city sets on.

Senator Kerr, while in the Arizona senate for seven years, served as Majority Whip and Chair of the Natural Resources, Energy and Water Committee. She was also appointed by the Trump Administration as the State Executive Director for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency in May 2025. That’s why he chose her as his running mate.

Biggs told the crowd of 150 or more in attendance that Arizona is now in the bottom five of affordability and also jobs. “Not good for us,” Biggs said. “The Department of Labor reported that 100,000 jobs were lost in the last 18 months.”

He promised he would never raise taxes. Never.

His closing comments, before questions and answers, were about his running mate for Lt. Governor Senator Sine, and Arizona.

“We need to win this election, top to bottom,” Biggs said. “I chose Sen. Sine because she has served in legislature, I wanted somebody in business. She and her husband ran a dairy farm for 46 years. I wanted somebody I could trust, somebody to make sure we’re doing this for the State of Arizona.”
