Fatality at the Colorado River

A July 4 fatality is reported on the Colorado River. Bullhead City police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said a man was fatally injured and his granddaughter was hurt when the personal watercraft he was operating crashed into some rocks on the Nevada side of the Colorado River across from Davis Camp. Authorities responding to the 1:30 p.m. accident transported both victims to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. Claro Ponciano, 56, San Fernando Valley, California, died at the hospital while his 16 year-old granddaughter was released following treatment.

Animal Care & Welfare making a difference in the Bullhead community

Bullhead City Animal Care & Welfare (ACW) and T.L.C. (Tender Loving Care) Veterinary Services continue to make a difference in the community by providing affordable vaccine and animal wellness clinics for pet owners. From July 2018 to May 2019,veterinarian services were provided to 729 pet owners and administered 1,523 vaccinations. (521 rabies, 446 distemper/parvo, 431 bordetella, 67 feline distemper, and 58 leukemia).
