Suicide attempt at Black Mountain Elementary School

A suicide attempt is reported at Black Mountain Elementary School in Golden Valley. Kingman Unified School District Superintendent Gretchen Dorner said she learned about 11:30 a.m. that a 14-year-old student suffered self harm in one of the school’s restrooms. Dorner said other students and staff provided care until law enforcement and medical professionals arrived. She said the 7th grade student was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center and then flown to a Las Vegas hospital for treatment.
