Special $3 trash pickup starting July 8

The Kingman Clean City Commission and the Kingman Sanitation Department are pleased to announce the specially discounted, quarterly trash pickup for the last three weeks of July 2019. This special pickup is available to residential customers that are within the Kingman city limits only. MCSO Boating Division participating in Operation Dry Water

During the weekend of July 5 through 7, The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Division of Boating Safety will again be participating in Operation Dry Water. Operation Dry Water is a national campaign with the focus of reducing the number of alcohol and drug related crashes and fatalities, while fostering a stronger, more visible deterrent to alcohol and drug use on the water. In 2018, 494 arrests were made for boating under the influence, during this same campaign across the country. Mohave County has formally taken over the animal shelter

The Kingman animal shelter formerly operated under contract with the Western Arizona Humane Society (WAHS) is transitioned to Mohave County management. The switchover occurred Monday as the former contract expired with the start of the new fiscal year. The county retained Nicole Mangiameli who will manage the operation as Animal Care Supervisor. She said all 13 employees who worked for WAHS keep their jobs under the county regime. “I have a large laundry list of new things do, along with new protocols and I’m loving every minute,” Mangiameli said.
