KINGMAN – A two-vehicle collision backed up traffic in the northbound lanes of U.S. 93 Thursday, Sept. 6. The wreck occurred at 11:50 a.m. about one mile north of Interstate 40. Deputy Kingman Police Chief Rusty Cooper said a River Medical ambulance was traveling between 50 and 60 miles per hour when it ran into the back of a double tractor trailer hauling potatoes. Cooper said the big rig was traveling slowly, at about 20 miles per hour, as it was pulling its load uphill. The impact caused the two trailers to unhitch but the potatoes remained contained.
