Master Gardener’s workshop is Aug. 7

KINGMAN – The Kingman Master Gardeners will host a free workshop on Wednesday, Aug. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mohave County Extension Office, 101 E. Grand award helps fund transport vehicle

MOHAVE COUNTY  – For the Luv of Paws Domestic Animal Rescue & Sanctuary has been awarded a $7,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to support its lifesaving work in Mohave County. The investment will enable the purchase of a transport vehicle to transport dogs and cats to adoption events; implement a TNR program in collaboration with veterinarians; and assist the pickup of large donations. “For the Luv of Paws thanks the Petco Foundation for investing in its lifesaving efforts,” said Director Cherie DaLynn. Registration for KYFL to begin

Coaches, parents and young athletes and cheerleaders are gearing up for the annual Kingman Youth Football League (KYFL) season. Separate registration opportunities are scheduled in early and mid-August. Parents can sign up their third to sixth grade kids at the discounted rate of $75 during the First Friday festivities in downtown Kingman. KYFL officials will be handling registration from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. while manning a booth that will be set up between 4th and 5th streets on Friday, August 2.
