MOHAVE COUNTY – Following candidacy declarations dating back to February from 31 republicans seeking various county positions in the 2024 election cycle, Lake Havasu City democrat Brian McMahan tossed his hat into the ring Tuesday, 20 days before Christmas. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Council meeting was on Tuesday, Nov. 28.  The meeting opened with Mayor Sheehy and board members awarding three heroes of the community.  About two weeks ago, Parks and Recreations employees John Schwing, Andrew Hartman, and Tyler McCoy were hanging lights at Lake Havasu’s Wheeler Park when they saved and individual from committing suicide. The mayor awarded the gentlemen with Lake Havasu Employee Heroes certificates along with a key to the city, the highest honor for recognition in Lake Havasu. KINGMAN – Interstate Warehousing opens its brand-new frozen food storage and shipping center Monday in the Griffith Energy Industrial park, about 15 miles south of Kingman. A 30-member workforce is ready for initial operation of the 273,000 sq. ft. facility, the 10th cold storage warehouse for the Fort Wayne, Indiana-based corporation. “This is neat getting outside of the mid-west.
