Catholic Charities to host meeting on Transitional Housing Facility

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman would like to inform the community that Catholic Charities of Arizona will be hosting a neighborhood meeting on Monday, November 27 at 6:00 P.M., to discuss their upcoming transitional housing project. Catholic Charities of Arizona purchased the Route 66 Motel located at 2939 E. Andy Devine Avenue as part of their Housing for Hope program, with the intent of renovating it into a 20-unit transitional housing facility. Overflow parking, new transit app discussed at LHC council

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Overflow parking was a hot topic at the Nov. 14 Lake Havasu City Council meeting. Havasu Riviera Marina are working together with Lake Havasu for a temporary overflow along with special event parking at the BLM property east of the marina. The agreement will be in effect until December 2029.  The 2024 Water Main Replacement with Kimley-Horn and Associates phase two was addressed. This project is intended for the continuation of replacing water mains with anticipated completion by April 2024. The workshop will provide some details regarding the requirements contained within Ordinance No. 1952, which was adopted by the City Council on August 15 and went into effect on October 1. Community meeting slated for new transitional housing facility

KINGMAN – Some citizens are expressing concern as Catholic Charities of Arizona plans to renovate a dilapidated motel property to operate as a transitional housing facility in Kingman. The organization secured a $4.5-million grant to purchase and rehabilitate the Route 66 Motel located at 2939 E.
