LAKE HAVASU CITY – Fired Kingman City Manager Ron Foggin has taken a temporary job in Lake Havasu City. Foggin began serving as interim Public Works Director Monday after 25-year veteran Havasu employee Greg Froslie was apparently dismissed. “It is best to adhere to city practice and refrain from providing any comments about any personnel matters,” Lake Havasu City Manager Jess Knudson said, essentially declining to clarify Froslie’s exit. UniSource Energy Services plans to more than double its electric energy resources over the next 15 years with new wind, solar, natural gas and storage systems that can support continued reliability amid increasing resource constraints on the regional electric grid. UniSource’s 2023 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP), filed today with the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC), describes how the company expects to satisfy customers’ increasing energy needs over the next 15 years. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Police Department was awarded a $30,000.00 grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) for conducting increased traffic enforcement operations. This will be for the 2023-2024 federal fiscal year, which runs from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024. This Selective Traffic Enforcement Program or S.T.E.P. KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is working to update its general plan as Arizona law requires every 10 years. Kingman’s last general plan was approved by voters in 2014 and the city preparing for a new general plan to be approved at the ballot box next fall. The grant funds will be used to pay for officer’s overtime costs for enhanced targeted DUI and impaired driving enforcement throughout the City of Kingman from October 1, 2023 – September 30, 2024.
