KINGMAN – Some 43 people applied for the Kingman City Manager position before the Jan. 8 deadline. Human Resources Director Krista Toschlog said residents of 18 states applied for the job, a dozen of them from Arizona. Toschlog said no one from the city will see or review all of the applications, and that the preliminary work is being handled by Gov HR USA, the headhunting firm under contract to handle recruitment of the city’s top administrator. LAKE HAVASU CITY – It’s election time in Lake Havasu. Three seats will need to be filled for the primary election this August. These seats are currently filled with council members Vice Mayor Cameron Moses, Nancy Campbell, and David Lane.  Board members voted and passed new runway safety area improvements for the Lake Havasu Municipal Airport. Council members passed an agreement with the Lake Havasu Police Department for two TruNarc devices. These are hand held devices intended to analyze narcotics. The analyzers have capabilities to scan more than 530 suspicious controlled substances with one conclusive test. This device will serve as a tool to enhance public safety…

KINGMAN – Lomanco plans to more than double its footprint at the Kingman Airport Industrial Park. The Jacksonville, Arkansas-based company has been operating at the park for four decades. “We’re the oldest out of all the different manufacturing companies that are out here,” said plant manager Paul Belden. “We’ve been here the longest.” Lomanco employs 19 people, mostly in production, at its 53,000 sq. ft.
