Roberts named LHC Deputy Fire Chief of Administration

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Fire Department is pleased to announce the selection of Garrett Roberts as the new Deputy Fire Chief of Administration. This appointment resulted from a nationwide search process involving highly qualified candidates inside and outside the fire department.

As the Deputy Fire Chief of Administration, Garrett will oversee various administrative functions within the department, including fire prevention/community risk reduction programs, emergency management, fleet/facility services, grants, personnel management, and policy development. Furthermore, Garrett will work closely with Chief Pilafas to ensure efficient operations and collaboration with other city departments.

Garrett comes to the Lake Havasu City Fire Department with 24 years of experience in fire and emergency medical services. He brings a wealth of knowledge and has managed various critical projects, developed, and implemented training programs to enhance the future leaders of the fire service, and fostered collaboration between different partnerships and agencies, ensuring a cohesive and coordinated approach to emergency response.

What sets Garrett apart is his commitment to continuous improvement, professional development, and education. He earned two master’s degrees in disaster preparedness/executive leadership and business administration from Grand Canyon University and is also pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership. Garrett’s educational background and practical experience make him ideally suited for the Deputy Fire Chief of Administration role.

Garrett’s appointment as the Deputy Fire Chief of Administration has been met with high praise from Fire Chief Peter Pilafas. He has expressed his confidence in Garrett’s abilities, citing his extensive experience in the fire and emergency medical service alongside his academic background as key factors in his selection.

Chief Pilafas believes that Garrett’s appointment is a significant milestone in the fire department’s future. He expects that Garrett’s fresh insights and innovative ideas will enhance the department’s administrative operations and overall performance. With these qualifications and experience, Garrett is expected to be an excellent addition to the department’s leadership team.
