Brenden Theater to offer beer, wine

KINGMAN – Movie fans will soon be able to enjoy a cold beer along with their popcorn at Kingman’s only commercial movie house. Brenden Theatres plans to introduce beer and wine at its Kingman 4 outlet on Stockton Hill Road by late March, if not sooner. “We appreciate the community. CDBG fund hearing set

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is expected to receive approximately $406,068 in FY2024 Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the Arizona Department of Housing Regional Account (RA). The City of Kingman also intends to apply for $500,000 in FY2024 CDBG funds from the State Special Projects (SSP) account.  CDBG funds must be used to benefit low-income persons and areas, alleviate slum and blight or address urgent need. A public hearing will be held in Council Chambers at 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 22, at 310 N. 4th Street to gather citizen input on the use of the CDBG funds.   Examples…

MOHAVE COUNTY –  Mohave Community College’s Workforce Excellence Series is actively recruiting participants for the upcoming spring semester, with a dedicated goal to enhance and elevate the local workforce.  Courses are held on the College campuses and at several local Chambers of Commerce. Workforce Excellence Series representatives recently held information sessions at the Bullhead City, Kingman and Lake Havasu City chambers. KINGMAN – An application to rezone a 10.5-acre parcel at the Kingman Airport and Industrial Park was recently received by Mohave County Development Services. County Planner Matthew Gunderson indicated the request was submitted by a Chaz Berman. A web search indicated that Berman is the Chief Executive Officer of Grower’s Secret which operates in California, Florida, Washington State and Hawaii. The phone number on Berman’s application matches a phone number on the Grower’s Secret website that includes his picture and identification.
