Utility rate hike will hurt customers in Mohave County

More than 9,300 struggling low-income individuals and families, and possibly more, in Santa Cruz and Mohave Counties will face additional financial challenges with Arizona Corporation Commission decisions to increase UniSource Energy Services electric rates by 12% and not to increase the flat, monthly discount on low-income rate plans. LHC fire to adopt new chest compression sytem

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Last week’s Lake Havasu City Council meeting announced that the fire department will now be using the LUCAS 3 Chest Compression System. This system is a better way to administer chest compressions and can preserve circulations that are life-saving throughout lengthy resuscitation attempts. This system has been extensively studied as an effective and safe method to save lives.  Board members also announced they will be hosting an open house for the second bridge feasibility study. Bird scooters to be discontinued

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman would like to notify the community, that Bird Rides, Inc. electric scooters will no longer be available in Kingman as of February 3. The agreement that began in February 2022 will officially end on January 31. All of the scooters are expected to be picked up by February 3. The City of Kingman Economic Development team has worked closely with representatives from Bird Rides, Inc. over the last two years to make this endeavor a success for Kingman tourists and residents.
