MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s K9 Foundation made a generous donation of candy to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office this week. The 1,200+ bags of candy given by the foundation will be handed out at the MCSO Public Outreach Program’s 2nd Annual Candy Crawl from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College students are proving to be fiscally responsible, helping cut the college student loan default rate in half. The most recently available figures show the 2016 fiscal year cohort default rate for MCC is 14.8%, which is below the national average of 15.9% for two-year public institutions. The college’s rate has continuously dropped since 2010 when it was 32.7%. Much of the credit for the dramatic rate drop can be found inside the MCC Financial Aid Office. KINGMAN – There will be a Census 2020 Job Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Kingman City Council Chambers, 310 N. Fourth St. Representatives will be on hand to help people apply for Census 2020 jobs and provide public information about the census.
