KPD receives water donation

KINGMAN – On Thursday, Sept. 26, associates from the Kingman Staples store delivered 52 cases of bottled water to the Kingman Police Department (KPD). In July Staples hosted a block party and raised funds through donations that were used to purchase and provide water to KPD. The water will be used to support department personnel during community events and extended police operations. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Treasurer Cindy Landa Cox has announced the dates, addresses, and office hours for the Bullhead and Lake Havasu Cities’ temporary satellite offices. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Fire Department has recognized the Lake Havasu Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) on the installation of their 500th residential Knox box. The residential Knox box is a secure system that offers emergency access to a home for residents that are unable to open the door for responders. The availability of emergency access provides peace of mind and prevents the unnecessary damage that occurs when forcible entry is made. Outages affect members in Fort Mohave, Bullhead City, Mohave Valley

BULLHEAD CITY – Storm-related outages affected over 5,700 Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) members in Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, and Mohave Valley Monday afternoon, Sept. 23. MEC became aware of the first of the outages at 1:41 p.m. and crews immediately responded. Power to over 1,600 members was restored by 2:44 p.m. and to approximately 400 more at 3:26 p.m. As storms and high wind continued to impact the area, a probable microburst caused a pole to fall, and a power outage for an additional 3,700 members in Fort Mohave and Mohave Valley at 4:08 p.m. Power was restored safely to…
