KRMC selects new CEO

KINGMAN – A health care facility administrator from Colorado has been hired to succeed Brian Turney who is retiring as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kingman Regional Medical Center. Will McConnell currently serves as CEO at Mercy Hospital in Durango. McConnell said his decision to take the KRMC position was based upon a very favorable impression of hospital staff and governing board members. “Their dedication to the community, their desire for the community to have great health care and their desire to maintain independence in today’s age of health care were all things that were very appealing,” McConnell said….

Executive order covers all evictions for Arizonans

PHOENIX – Arizona Governor Ducey issued an executive order on Tuesday, March 24, delaying the enforcement of eviction action orders for renters impacted by COVID-19. The order applies to renters who are quarantining due to COVID-19 or are facing economic hardship as a result of the outbreak. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College is taking more steps to keep students, faculty and staff safe during the COVID-19 pandemic by moving most classes online, social  distancing and limiting face-to-face interactions. First Mohave County case triggers new restrictions

MOHAVE COUNTY – The confirmation of the first positive case of COVID-19 in Mohave County has triggered the enforcement of Governor Doug Ducey’s Arizona Executive Order 2020-09 in Mohave County. Until further notice, all bars, movie and stage theaters, indoor gyms and fitness clubs in Mohave County, including all those in the incorporated cities of Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City and Kingman, must close to the public immediately. Virus affects local tourism sector

MOHAVE COUNTY – The tourism sector of the economy is quite vulnerable to the coronavirus. Spring events that draw thousands of people to the tri-state area are being postponed if not canceled due to social distancing protocols and travel restrictions. Corwin road construction to impair traffic

BULLHEAD CITY – Starting Thursday, March 26, the northbound right lane on Hwy. 95 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. while permanent signage is being installed for the Corwin/ Hwy. 95 signal. On the evening of March 31, the traffic signal will be activated. There will be extra traffic control and detours posted during final construction.
