Bullhead City struggles to fill P&Z seats

BULLHEAD CITY – Vacant Planning & Zoning Commission seats was addressed at the Dec. 17 Bullhead City Council meeting. The commission currently has two vacancies and one potential appointee, Aaron Lopez. Lopez was scheduled to speak about his appointment but did not because of his involvement in a championship softball game. In Lopez’ absence, the council approved his appointment unanimously. Grandfather, grandchildren escape home fire

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City Fire Department (LHCFD) responded to a home fire in the 3700 block of Chemehuevi Blvd., on the afternoon of Friday, Dec. 20. According to a LHCFD press release, the occupant had discovered a large fire on the back porch that was quickly extending into the home. The first arriving fire company reported fire through the roof and made the decision to fight the fire defensively outside of the residence. Couple survive airplane crash near Lake Havasu

LAKE HAVASU – Multiple agencies responded to a downed airplane near Lake Havasu on Sunday, Dec. 22. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Division of Boating Safety, members of the MSCO Dive and Rescue Team, and Lake Havasu City Fire Department personnel converged at Lake Havasu where they had received multiple reports that a plane went down over the lake.
