LAKE HAVASU CITY – Three companies applied for liquor licenses at the last Lake Havasu City Council meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 10. 911: Call if you can, text if you can’t in outlying areas

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has announced that it is now capable of accepting text to 911 emergency text messages to the dispatch center from the unincorporated areas of Mohave County. Lake Havasu City is already capable of accepting text to 911 emergency text messages. Currently, the cities of Kingman and Bullhead do not have this capability and text to 911 will not work if you are inside those city limits. Desert Riders put on Seventh Annual Toy Run

KINGMAN – On Sunday, Dec. 15, the Desert Road Riders Motorcycle Club put on their 7th Toy Run. The motorcycle riders met up at American Legion Post 15 and made their way to Hooch’s Grille, with Santa leading the caravan. There were already close to a hundred people lined up and cheering the motorcade on as they entered Hooch’s parking lot.
