Two more COVID-19 cases today, bringing total to 59 for Mohave County

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 20, 2020) – The Mohave County Health Department MCDPH-Nursing staff was notified this afternoon of two more positive COVID-19 cases. (Despite the similarities, these are two different cases.)  Both are in the Kingman service area and both are in the 65+ age range.  However, the first case is hospitalized out-of state and the second case is in isolation, and recovering in a home also out-of-state.  The two cases are unrelated and both have permanent addresses in Mohave County.  No contacts have been identified within Mohave County. Based on information provided by the patients, both cases are travel-related. MCC planning virtual 2020 graduate recognition ceremony and other events

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College will honor its 2020 graduates with three separate events. MCC will not be holding a traditional commencement ceremony in May due to the Coronavirus pandemic, instead the college will host a Virtual 2020 Graduate Recognition Ceremony to honor the students’ accomplishments. KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is currently developing the budget for fiscal year 2021 and reducing expenditures for the current year. Upcoming budget work sessions will be held for the City Council to review and provide input on the proposed budget, before they are asked to approve it in June. Third virus-related death mars weekend

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Health Department MCDPH-Nursing staff was notified over the weekend of the death of one of the (previously identified) hospitalized COVID-19 positive cases in the Lake Havasu City service area. The individual was in the 65+ age range. This case was not epidemiologically-linked to another case, nor was it travel-related.  This death is among the 55 total positives in Mohave County.
