KRMC to offer COVID-19 antibody tests to the public

KINGMAN – Beginning Monday, May 11, Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) will offer antibody tests for SARS-CoV-2― the virus that causes COVID-19. The test can possibly detect if someone had COVID-19 in the past. When someone is infected with COVID-19, their immune system may produce proteins called antibodies to fight the virus. After the person has recovered, an antibody test can usually detect these proteins in their blood.  KRMC Pathologist Dr. Ryan Swapp says the antibody test can help people know if they already had the virus. Just wondering …

Dear Editor, I realize that this is not a time to be bringing up politics and the 2020 elections, however, it seems to me that there is some very fancy footwork going on in our nation’s capitol. Rumor has it that the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, does not want to call the House of Representatives back into session until after the first of the year. Interesting! As I understand it, and I freely admit I may be wrong, if the Speaker of the House wants to, she can delay the election until whenever she wants using the COVID-19…
