KINGMAN. – A project to extend a sewer line will begin at 7:00 a.m. Monday, June 15 and last through 5:00 p.m. June 19. The intersection of Florence Ave. and Main St. will be closed to traffic. Local traffic can access Florence Ave. from Fairgrounds Boulevard and Stockton Hill Road, and detours will be in place. The city also asks the traveling public to use caution when driving near and around work zones. KINGMAN – There will be a fundraiser on behalf of Becky Foster, candidate for Mohave County Supervisor District 1 on Wednesday, July 8 at Cella Winery, 6927 E. BULLHEAD CITY – An Ethiopian national residing in Las Vegas drowned on the Arizona side of the Colorado River on Thursday, June 11. The name of the 24-year-old victim was withheld pending notification of kin. Bullhead City police spokeswoman said the man who couldn’t swim was wading in the river when he stepped into a deeper pool and went under in the area of casino boat docks.
