COVID-19 remains “alarming” county issue Spike in cases necessitates strong warning
MOHAVE COUNTY – Despite some businesses and individuals realizing the seriousness of the extent of COVID-19 in Mohave County, not enough are maintaining vigilance in adhering to guidelines mandated by public health officials. McDonald takes plea in boat sale fraud
KINGMAN – A plea agreement is wrapping up prosecution in the case against a former Lake Havasu City businessman accused of cheating customers out of their share of boat sale proceeds. 48-year-old Tim McDonald pleaded guilty to an attempted fraudulent schemes and artifaces charge during a June 11 hearing in Kingman. A Mohave County Superior Court jury convicted McDonald of one theft charge and acquitted him of another at the end of a February trial. Mohave County psychiatric hospital accepts admissions 24 hours a day
BULLHEAD CITY – Due to COVID-19, Talas Harbor at Bullhead City a 24-bed, Arizona State Licensed inpatient Psychiatric Hospital for geriatric patients has reevaluated its admission protocol and is hoping to provide some relief to emergency room staff handling psychiatric patients. COVID-19 update: 30 new cases, one death
MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Sunday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 30 new COVID-19 positive confirmed cases and one death. Nineteen of the cases are in the Bullhead City service area; 9 are in the Kingman service area; two are in the Lake Havasu City service area.
