County Planner Matthew Gunderson indicated the request was submitted by a Chaz Berman. A web search indicated that Berman is the Chief Executive Officer of Grower’s Secret which operates in California, Florida, Washington State and Hawaii. The phone number on Berman’s application matches a phone number on the Grower’s Secret website that includes his picture and identification. Rotary hosts speaker, makes donation

Speaking at Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club’s January 26 meeting was Velizar Iliev, a U.S. Olympian and World Champion. Born in Bulgaria, Iliev won multiple national titles there before moving to the USA and becoming an American citizen. Iliev was a three-time World Champion while in Bulgaria and won the 1999 Pan American Games. He became a volunteer fencing coach at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas,where he coached the Olympian Fencing Club. Ilev and his wife moved to Kingman recently and he will be opening Mohave Fencing Academy to be held at College Park Community Church…

BULLHEAD CITY – The City of Bullhead City has positions available for citizens interested in getting involved and serving on the Bullhead City Board of Appeals. The City Clerk’s Department is currently accepting applications from citizens interested in volunteering to fill five available positions on this Board.   The Bullhead City Board of Appeals determines the suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction and provides reasonable interpretation of the International Building Code.
