Dear Editor, I’m writing in response to a supposed “Letter to the Editor” that was written by Mr. Butch Meriwether and published on Wednesday January 24, 2024 in your paper. First of all, in the 40-plus years that I’ve been a professional outdoors communicator, I’ve never seen a THREE-PART Letter to the Editor.  While this was a supposedly an article about “BLM utilizes inhumane methods to capture burros/horses” it clearly wasn’t that at all. Town Hall set to discuss Mohave Energy Park

FT. MOHAVE — Mohave Electric Cooperative will host a Town Hall meeting to share information and answer questions on the natural gas project, Mohave Energy Park. Two heroes host Camp Courage fundraiser

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A study conducted in 2019 by BMC Public Health showed that there were more than eight million new burn victim cases across the globe. The survival rate for the injured is 96.8 percent according to The American Burn Association.  A local of Lake Havasu, felt tremendous empathy towards the victims of these tragedies, and decided to create community involvement in support of burn victims. That local was Christopher (Cookie) Deutsch, the head chef at Lake Havasu’s Veterans of Foreign Wars.   Deutsch’s empathy stemmed from his own burn incidents as a chef; 13 years ago he took action by organizing local fundraisers…
