PARKER – The Bureau of Reclamation reports that repair activity on Parker Dam Road could cause brief traffic for almost two months. During construction, traffic may be limited to one-lane and drivers may experience intermittent delays from 6 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST).  Local police, fire, and emergency medical services will have priority passage throughout the rehabilitation project area during construction activity. BLM offering reward for burro attack

NEEDLES, Calif. – The Bureau of Land Management is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to justice for the ongoing investigation of the shooting and killing of 19 wild burros. The animals were found along Interstate 15 between Baker, California and Primm, Nevada on August 13, 2019. CDBG fund hearing set

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is expected to receive approximately $406,068 in FY2024 Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the Arizona Department of Housing Regional Account (RA). The City of Kingman also intends to apply for $500,000 in FY2024 CDBG funds from the State Special Projects (SSP) account.  CDBG funds must be used to benefit low-income persons and areas, alleviate slum and blight or address urgent need. Consequences follow premeditated assault on junior high campus

BULLHEAD CITY – An assault on the Fox Creek Junior High School campus may lead to criminal charges against at least one student, and disciplinary action against a number of others, school officials announced Thursday.  Initial reports indicate that one girl had planned in advance to attack another, and arranged for a group of students to not only witness but also record the assault Thursday afternoon.
