The work will require London Bridge Rd. Southbound at S. Palo Verde Blvd. to be closed. Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes, allow themselves extra travel time and follow all construction signage. January 14, 1937 – May 29, 2021 George Thomas Swarts, Kingman, Arizona, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, May 29, 2021 with family members at his side.  He was preceded in death by his parents Bern and Carmelita Swarts, his sister Rosalie Christensen, and his brother Jim Swarts.  He is survived by his ex-wife Maren Webb, his daughters Diane, Maria, and Rose (Dolly) Swarts, and grandchildren Jayde Swarts and RJ Herrera. Supervisors reject second round of ERAP funding

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County supervisors expressed dissatisfaction with the state of the nation before rejecting a second round of Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) funding during Monday’s Board of Supervisors meeting in Kingman. Dist. 5 Sup. Ron Gould said the American work ethic is being undermined because the country is “run by communists, apparently.” He said the federal government has gone overboard with pandemic relief funds, nurturing an environment where many would rather collect welfare subsidy than “flip hamburgers’’ for $15 an hour. “There’s a big problem getting people to go back to work.
