Lost hikers rescued from Sara Park area

LAKE HAVASU CITY – At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, the Lake Havasu City Fire Department was dispatched to a desert rescue at Sara Park. Two hikers got lost returning from the Sara Park Trail system after attempting a sunset hike. Reports stated that they were lost in the dark but uninjured. Two Engines, a Battalion Chief, and two desert rescue side by sides responded. Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue was also requested to assist with the nighttime search. Drivers, parents reminded of school bus safety

MOHAVE COUNTY – Three area public school superintendents have banded together to remind drivers that school buses will again be picking up and dropping off students, as the 2023-2024 school year gets under way.  In addition to buses, students will also be walking or riding bicycles to and from school, and sometimes crossing the street to and from bus stops.
