Shuffler to be prosecuted as an adult in deadly rollover

KINGMAN – A Kingman teenager is being prosecuted as an adult and faces extensive potential prison time for a deadly traffic accident. A Mohave County Grand Jury handed up an indictment on Thursday, Aug. 3 charging Brady Shuffler, 16, with two counts of second-degree murder and four counts of aggravated assault. The charges follow investigation of a high-speed April 13 traffic accident that claimed the lives of Tatum Meins, 17, and Sherene `Siri’ Walema, 15. There were 1,294 traffic fatalities across the state last year, an increase of 8.6% compared to 2021, according to the 2022 Arizona Motor Vehicle Crash Facts report. Figures show crashes associated with inappropriate speed and speeding accounted for a greater share of deaths and injuries, providing a sobering reminder for Arizonans to avoid such unsafe driving behaviors. Pedestrian, bicyclist and motorcyclist deaths all increased last year. Updated schedule for TB testing at Diamondback Elementary School

 The Bullhead City School District (BCSD) and the Mohave County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) have announced the schedule for tuberculosis disease testing on Friday (August 11) at Diamondback Elementary School, 2550 Tesota Way. Testing is for students and employees who were potentially exposed from March through June of the 2022-2023 school year. Although parents or guardians must be present or provide a consent form for minors to be tested, MCDPH will not be testing family members at Friday’s clinic, which runs from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Schedules are staggered to minimize back-ups, but some delays may occur.  Please…
