Hiker rescued at Sara Park

LAKE HAVASU CITY – At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, the Lake Havasu City Fire Department responded to a desert rescue at the Sara Park hiking trails. A hiker was unable to hike back to the trailhead and needed medical care. The hiker was located and received medical care from Fire Department personnel. Due to the rough terrain where the hiker was located, a medical helicopter was called for transport to the hospital. Another person in the party was able to safely hike back to the trailhead.

During the course of their usual duties, library staff located the package in the book return drop box located outside of the building and notified law enforcement.
