Aquarius to host 12th Annual “Feed-A-Family” event

LAUGHLIN, Nev. – Aquarius Resort will host the 12th annual “Feed-A-Family” charitable initiative in support of local Laughlin area families, now through Saturday, Dec. 25.  The annual “Feed-A-Family” program provides boxes of food to families in need through partnerships with local food pantries for the upcoming holiday season. For every 25,000 True Rewards points contributed, Aquarius and Edgewater will purchase and donate one box of holiday food sized to feed a family of four. Quilt sale, raffle to benefit memorial fund

KINGMAN – Mohave Community College(MCC), 309 E. Beale St., has quilts on display and a quilt raffle to benefit the Girls Softball Scholarship Memorial Fund for Tatum Meins and Sherene Walema.  All donations will go directly to the Memorial Fund.  The quilt raffle is $5 per ticket and can be purchased anytime at MCC.  The winning ticket will be drawn on Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Arts and Crafts Sale in the Chamber of Commerce Building downtown. Quilt maker and collector, Jan Ellwood, has decided to donate her quilts that she has collected over 30 years. She is excited to have the proceeds go…

October Citizen of the Month named

Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club recently presented MyKenzie DeVries, a ninth grade student in the Cambridge Program at Lee Williams High School, with the club’s October Citizen of the Month award. At age five, MyKenzie began raising money for the community, with her first fundraiser raising $100 to pay for school supplies in school. Along with her sister and an assist from their Mom, fundraisers went from a lemonade stand to making items to putting on a car wash at 66 Auto Sales. To date $3,350.01 has been raised with all proceeds going to the Kingman Cancer Care Unit.
