North Kingman shooting update

A Monday shooting in north Kingman is under investigation by the Mohave County Sheriff’s office. Deputies responded to the 4800 block of Jagerson Lane at approximately 8:00 p.m. “A 27-year-old white male had sustained gunshot wounds during an altercation in a vehicle,” an agency news release stated. “The victim was shot twice and was able to exit the vehicle to get to a nearby residence for assistance.” Chief Deputy Sheriff Dean Mckie said the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. Finding of No Significant Impact signed for the Transcanyon Water Distribution Pipeline project in Grand Canyon National Park

May 8, the National Park Service finalized a plan to provide a reliable water delivery system, improve water quality, and meet water supply needs at the South Rim and in the Cross Canyon Corridor in Grand Canyon National Park.  “The pipeline plays a critical role in supporting park operations and supplies all potable water to the park’s South Rim and Cross Canyon Corridor,” said Kristine Provenzano, National Park Service manager for the project. The Bullhead City Police Department would like to invite members of the media and community to attend the Peace Officers’ Memorial Service on Wednesday, May 15 at 9 a.m. to recognize and pay respect to our fallen heroes. Kingman’s All Starz Team shows their mettle at San Diego Regional Championships on May 3-5.

The Twelve All Starz Gymnastics team regional qualifiers attended the USAG Xcel Regional Championships in San Diego, California. This was the largest meet the west coast has ever seen with over 2,700 competitors and 183 teams all from Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah. Head Coach Brandee Proffit stated, “The All Starz team performed amazingly, bringing a total of 35 top 10 medals back to Kingman.” Seven of the medals won were gold, silver and bronze.
