KINGMAN – The Kingman Master Gardeners will host a free workshop on Wednesday, Aug. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mohave County Extension Office, 101 E. Beale St. Topics include the do’s and don’ts for fall clean up winter veggies and what to grow in Kingman, and how the enter the Mohave County Fair. The workshop is free and open to the public. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.

MOHAVE COUNTY – For the Luv of Paws Domestic Animal Rescue & Sanctuary has been awarded a $7,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to support its lifesaving work in Mohave County. The investment will enable the purchase of a transport vehicle to transport dogs and cats to adoption events; implement a TNR program in collaboration with veterinarians; and assist the pickup of large donations. “For the Luv of Paws thanks the Petco Foundation for investing in its lifesaving efforts,” said Director Cherie DaLynn. Coaches, parents and young athletes and cheerleaders are gearing up for the annual Kingman Youth Football League (KYFL) season. Separate registration opportunities are scheduled in early and mid-August. Parents can sign up their third to sixth grade kids at the discounted rate of $75 during the First Friday festivities in downtown Kingman. KYFL officials will be handling registration from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. while manning a booth that will be set up between 4th and 5th streets on Friday, August 2. It will cost $85 to sign up kids during registration scheduled at Kingman High School (KHS) August 14, 15, and 16….
Leftovers go on sale “over the counter” beginning Monday, July 29 PHOENIX — Arizona hunters still have an opportunity to receive a hunt permit-tag for select 2019 fall turkey and youth-only javelina hunts. As of last week, there were 418 permit-tags available for fall turkey in Game Management Unit 12A, and 210 youth-only permit-tags for javelina in various units throughout the state.
