Traffic fatality under investigation

BULLHEAD CITY – A fatal traffic accident is under investigation by the Bullhead City Police Department. Officers and emergency medical personnel responded Monday at 4:45 p.m. to the two-vehicle, head-on collision at Highway 95 and Thunderstruck Drive. “Richard Eugene Harker, 54, Bullhead City, was traveling northbound on the highway in a Mercury Grand Marquis,” said police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt. “For unknown reasons, he crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic and collided with a southbound Ford F-350 pickup truck.’’ Fromelt said Harker was dead at the scene of the accident and that the passenger in his vehicle, 40-year-old Rachel Ann…

Longtime Kingman attorney Bill Porter passes

His friends and family are mourning the death of longtime Kingman attorney Bill Porter. Kingman police confirm that Porter was found deceased inside his Kingman apartment at mid-morning Wednesday. Porter was 76 years old and it is believed he died of natural causes. Foul play is not suspected. Porter formerly operated the William C. Porter law office in downtown Kingman and he had a love of law and history. He was heavily committed to civic organizations and his involvements included the Arizona Historical Society, Kingman Regional Medical Center and the Mohave Museum.
