KINGMAN – On August 10, Ruby Dishneau celebrated her 100-year birthday with approximately 250 people. Most of these people were a part of the six generations of family, including more than 150 of Ruby’s grandchildren. With the oldest grandchild at age 63 and the youngest at only four months old, Ruby was surrounded by a diverse group of loving and proud individuals. Beatte found guilty of child molestation

BULLHEAD CITY – A Mohave County Superior Court jury has returned a guilty verdict in the case of a man charged with fondling a young girl in a Bullhead City motel room 13 years ago. The panel deliberated about 90 minutes on Wednesday, August 7 before convicting Jay Beatte, 44, of one count of child molestation. Deputy Mohave County Attorney Jacob Cote said the victim was the daughter of Beatte’s girlfriend and that the illegal touching occurred in other states before the incident in 2006 when they were living in the motel. Mohave County sending out voting ballots to those in Bullhead City, KUSD

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County election officials will be mailing out more than 60,000 ballots to voters in Bullhead City and in the Kingman Unified School District in about two months.  Voters in Bullhead City will be deciding Proposition 415 and whether to authorize the city to attempt to acquire ECPCOR Water Arizona’s local infrastructure through purchase or by condemnation if necessary. A $35 million bond issue will be determined by the KUSD electorate.
