LAKE HAVASU CITY – London Bridge Beach, 1340 McCulloch Blvd N, will host an annual outrigger canoe race that’s free to spectators the 11th Annual Octoberfest Pineapple Race on Thursday, Oct. 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. You’ve seen these on Hawaii Five-0. Outrigger boats feature one or more lateral support floats known as outriggers, which are fastened to one or both sides of the main hull. There are kids’ activities planned and all teams must wear their best superhero attire to compete for best costume. The one-quarter-mile race includes a Beer Garden and takes place at London Bridge Beach (near the Lions Club Dog Park).
