Traffic fatality under investigation

BULLHEAD CITY – A fatal traffic accident is under investigation by the Bullhead City Police Department. Officers and emergency medical personnel responded Monday at 4:45 p.m. to the two-vehicle, head-on collision at Highway 95 and Thunderstruck Drive.

“Richard Eugene Harker, 54, Bullhead City, was traveling northbound on the highway in a Mercury Grand Marquis,” said police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt. “For unknown reasons, he crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic and collided with a southbound Ford F-350 pickup truck.’’

Fromelt said Harker was dead at the scene of the accident and that the passenger in his vehicle, 40-year-old Rachel Ann Lukken of Bullhead City, was flown to University Medical Center in Las Vegas for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the Ford F-350, 41-year-old Stacey Mischelle Studer of Mohave Valley, was transported to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center by Bullhead City Fire paramedics.
