Body found in desert identified

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives have identified human remains located in a desert wash near Corral Dr. on October 5. The remains were that of Theresa Lynn Murillo, 50 of Lake Havasu City. Murillo had been reported missing out of Las Vegas and was a known transient in the Lake Havasu City area. The cause of death is undetermined at this time, however no signs of trauma or foul play were observed during the autopsy.

Neighbors need to slow down in neighborhoods

Dear Editor, I live on N. Bond St., and I am seeing people drive down the road at 30 to 45 mph in a 25 mph zone residential, and most are neighbors. I think they do it because they can get from point A to point B quicker. How can I get them to slow down? They think that N. Bond St is Nascar St., and that they are Rusty Wallace. Weapon, assault charges filed in domestic violence case

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Gregory Allen Hoefs, 27, of Lake Havasu City, for three counts of aggravated assault per domestic violence and disorderly conduct with a weapon per domestic violence, all felonies. According to a Mohave County Sheriff’s Office press release, deputies responded to a delayed domestic violence call on Friday, October18 where the victim stated that on the night prior, Hoefs had entered her hotel and placed his hand aroundher neck, choking her, while holding a knife to her stomach. FORT MOHAVE – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Kenneth Francis Mohs, 53, of Fort Mohave, for aggravated assault per domestic violence on Thursday, Oct. 17. According to a Mohave County Sheriff’s Office press release, the victim reported to officers that she had been in a verbal argument with her husband, Mohs.
