Our beloved daddy, hero, and now our Angel Steven A. Douglas, age 72, peacefully passed away at his residence in Kingman, Arizona on Nov. 9, 2019 surrounded by his family.  Steven was born on April 5, 1947 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Steven was a Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army and retired after 23 years. Scramble Cars/SXS and Tuff Trucks event this weekend

KINGMAN – Long Mountain Event Center with Cerbat Motosports will be holding a Scramble Car/SXS and Tuff Truck event on Saturday, Jan. 4. Gates open at 10 a.m. and racing at noon. Havasu dealer going to prison

KINGMAN – A Lake Havasu City drug dealer will be going to the Arizona Department of Corrections under terms of a plea agreement entered Thursday in Kingman. The deal requires Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle to send Sarah Jackson, 39, to prison for 5 to 8 years during a January 31 sentencing hearing. Jackson was on probation for a 2017 drug case when arrested last August 25 in the vicinity of 3511 Iroquois Drive. Mental Health First Aid training offered

KINGMAN – Western Arizona Council of Governments (WACOG) will be hosting a free Mental Health First Aid training on Wednesday, Jan. 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the WACOG office, 208 N. Fourth St. This is an eight-hour course that teaches how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Salvino has demonstrated that he has the knowledge, experience, and tenure to act as a member of the Command Staff and lead others, and he is recognized as a valuable member of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. Local merchants are invited to a mid-January workshop to learn how to do business with Mohave County.
