Petsmart helps shelter find homes for Kingman pets.

KINGMAN –  On Jan 11, the Friends of Mohve County Animal Shelter hosted its semi-regular Kingman Petsmart Dog Adoptions, at the Petsmart on Stockton Hill Rd. The event was hosted inside the Petsmart building, where customers were allowed to view a sample of dogs for potential adoption. The animal adoptions are an ongoing event according to shelter manager/supervisor Nicole Manigiameli, with the shelter hoping to be at Petsmart every weekend if they can. Manigiameli, thanked Petsmart for their assistance, citing them as a contributing factor to ongoing adoptions. (JAVC) will be hosting a Veterans Resource Fair on Friday January 17 at Elks Lodge #468, 900 Gates Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All veterans are invited to attend at no cost. Andy Devine ADA project update – A full street closure of N. Second Street will be required for the continued construction of the Andy Devine Avenue ADA improvements project beginning Monday morning, January 13. N. Marino named to NAU Dean’s List

Enzo Marino of Kingman has been named to the Northern Arizona University (NAU) Dean’s List for the Fall 2019 term. Enzo is a class of 2019 graduate from Lee Williams High School. After fielding over a dozen athletic scholarship offers for both track and football, Enzo decided to stay close to home and attend NAU, utilizing his excellent grades to receive a Lumberjack scholarship, giving him free tuition at NAU. He is majoring in Pre-Med/Biology and just completed his first semester, receiving Dean’s List recognition as a freshman.
