KINGMAN – The Kingman 9-1-1 Communications Center was awarded national accreditation on Friday, November 13, by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) in the Public Safety Communications program. The program provides a communications center with a process to systemically review and internally assess its operations and procedures while collecting and analyzing data for the purpose of making sound operational and administrative business decisions, creating leadership and practitioner-accountability. MOHAVE COUNTY – Split votes in selecting a new Chairman and canvasing the Nov. 3 general election results highlighted Monday’s Mohave County Board of Supervisors meeting in Kingman. It began with Dist. 2 Sup. Hildy Angius’ motion to appoint Dist. 5 Sup. Ron Gould as Chairman for the next year as the Board has generally rotated in new leadership annually.
