The Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce helped celebrate the grand opening of Valley View’s Wound Care Unit in Fort Mohave last week. Valley View Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center provides specialized treatment for chronic or non-healing wounds, which can lead to lower quality of life and sometimes amputation. Dear Editor, GOP politicians today are like fast talking used car salesmen, or crybabies who sensationalize stories and throw tantrums waving their hands around to get their audience pumped up. They believe that by parroting hackneyed talking points, this somehow makes them attractive to GOP voters. It doesn’t, as can be seen with the case of Liz Cheney and countless other GOP politicians that have opposed Trump and his American agenda. WIKIEUP – The Wikieup Trading Post has been destroyed. The commercial structure along U.S. 93 that included a jewelry store and a convenience market was gutted by fire overnight. Company failed to deliver promised Internet speeds PHOENIX – Attorney General Mark Brnovich, along with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and a coalition of law enforcement agencies from five other states, filed a lawsuit against Frontier Communications (Frontier), alleging that the company did not provide many consumers with internet service at the speeds it promised and charged many for more expensive and higher-speed service than Frontier actually provided. KINGMAN – Due to an internet and cell outage, the Kingman City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday May 18, was canceled. Agenda items will be postponed to future meetings. At 4:22 p.m. on May 18, units from the Kingman Fire Department (KFD) and Northern Arizona Fire District (NAFD) were dispatched for a powerline down, followed by a call for a brushfire in the same area, and then upgraded to a commercial structure fire.
