Safeway parking lot fight ends in arrest

BULLHEAD CITY – An altercation that produced a knife-related injury is under investigation by the Bullhead City Police Department. The 32-year-old Mesa man who used the knife claims he did so in self-defense, according to Police Department Spokeswoman Emily Fromelt. KINGMAN – Attorneys and Judge Billy Sipe completed plans for a Lake Havasu City man’s murder trial next month during a March 2 final management conference. Angel Caldera, 22, is charged with second-degree murder for the death of his teenage roommate nearly a year ago. Credit card fraud ring busted in Mohave Valley

MOHAVE VALLEY – A half-dozen Mohave Valley residents are in custody and charged after a two- month-long scam investigation by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. “The investigation began when deputies were made aware of fraudulent credit card charges via online purchases at a local retail business,” said agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen.
