Johnson to serve as Quadstate Chair for 16th consecutive year

Desert rescue ends well

LAKE HAVASU CITY – At approximately 12:01 pm on Tuesday, March 26, the Lake Havasu City Fire Department was dispatched to a desert rescue at Sara Park.  A male hiker was reported to be experiencing a heat-related injury and in need of assistance. Two Engine Companies, Two Rescue side-by-sides, an ambulance, and a Battalion Chief responded to Sara Park and were able to locate the injured person within 36 minutes. MOHAVE COUNTY – Twenty-Six Mohave Community College students from the Bullhead Campus have been inducted to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society-Alpha Chi Psi chapter during an induction ceremony with friends and family. The ceremony’s guest speaker was Grace Hecht from Make Bullhead Better and former MCC alumna. Fugitive apprehended in Bullhead City

BULLHEAD CITY – An alleged one-man crime wave has been apprehended in Bullhead City. Richard Leonard, a fugitive named in arrest warrants for a number of incidents in Feb. and March, has been taken into custody. Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said Leonard, 21, was arrested Monday, March 25 in the area of Highway 95 and Sixth St. “Over the past two months, Leonard entered the restricted area inside managers’ offices at three different businesses and stole money, phones, keys and other items,” Fromelt said. “He was also identified as a suspect in vehicle thefts, including an incident where he crashed…
