Funds available for BLM wild horse, burro adoption program
The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public and private partners to help support the agency’s mission to place wild horses and burros into good private care. A funding opportunity is now open to local and state governments, tribes, other federal agencies and non-profit organizations through January 15, 2024. Partnerships formed through this funding opportunity will support critical off-range activities important to the placement of wild horses and burros into private care, such as training, adoption, outreach and compliance inspection programs, among other efforts related to BLM’s off-range management program.
