While dozens of Mohave County residents have declared intent to seek county or municipal positions in the 2024 election cycle, far fewer folks have pulled papers to run for higher office in northwest Arizona. Search & Rescue recover body, injured hiker

recovered a body in one location and rescued a woman who fell into a well in recent days. Crews responded at about 5 p.m. Friday after hikers summoned help to an area near Craggy Wash north of Lake Havasu City. “They were hiking near a mountain peak and believed there was someone who needed help or may have been deceased, but could not get close enough to make that determination,” an S&R Facebook post said. Transient arrested following airport damage

BULLHEAD CITY – Authorities report the arrest of a transient they say is responsible for separate security incursions at the Laughlin Bullhead International Airport. Police responded at about 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21 to a report that a man carrying bolt cutters had jumped over a secured fence at the property in the 2200 block of South Laughlin View Drive. “For unknown reasons, the male suspect then cut off the locks to several electric power panels and removed wires and electric fuses, causing a power outage to the air traffic control tower,’’ said police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt. “When the…
