American Legion to host first ever Alligator Feed fundraiser in Havasu

LAKE HAVASU — Veterans, military families, and supporters of our heroes, will be interested in attending  American Legion Post’s very first Alligator Feed fundraiser.  The post will be kicking up their philanthropy for veterans at this themed occasion.

Being one of the most prominent military nonprofits of the United States, the legion has significantly transformed cultural shifts in America. They have also gained over hundreds of opportunities for veterans and have created programs for children and armed forces.

For the Lake Havasu legion’s first alligator charity, the nonprofit encourages all attendees to bring their appetite as they will be serving pork chops, seafood boil, and smoked alligator. There will also be live music by local band Road Time and 50/50 raffle drawing.

More information on how to obtain advance tickets for just $20.00 would be by calling the legion directly at 928-855-2552. You can also purchase tickets at the door for $25.00.

American Legion Post first Alligator Feed fundraiser will be on Saturday, July 26, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at American Legion Post at 181 Del Sol Avenue in Lake Havasu.

The proceeds of the fundraiser will go towards the nonprofit’s Building Fund program. This program was designed for renovations, maintenance, and construction for veterans who use American Legion Post buildings. The program is intended to ensure community space for social activities, and making sure all buildings remain functional and safe.
