Alleged dope dealer takes prison deal

BULLHEAD CITY – A mandatory prison plea agreement has been entered for an alleged Bullhead City drug dealer. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle scheduled a Dec. 22 sentencing hearing, informing Thomas Kleve, 66, that he’ll decide whether to accept or reject the deal at that time.

Deputy county attorney Leah Nelson said Kleve was arrested following execution of a search warrant on Nov. 27, 2019 at his residence at 1947 Cantleberry Lane. She told the Court that officers found 8 bags containing about 150 grams of methamphetamine.

Nelson pleaded guilty to a possession of dangerous drugs count, reduced from a sales related charge. Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia charges are dismissed in the agreement.

Judge Carlisle must impose a 7-year prison term if he approves the deal at sentencing.
